Celebrating Birthdays on May 28 Has Become A Tradition For Marvin and Ray Fox

The Boys started celebrating their birthdays a bit early this year. First they helped Ruby Duches celebrate on Friday, then Marvin and Ray and 50 friends celebrated at Panchos Rancho while watching the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600. The next Saturday was yet another cake and party at the Living Legends of Auto Racing Museum where the guys had time to catch up with old friends. The 50th running of the Daytona 500 is just a few days away and we're happy to announce that Marvin's booked solid through Speedweeks with numerous appearances and interviews. But did you know that the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Great American Race actually started during this past July Daytona's race? Click here to view some pictures from this past July's event.

Marvin was also selected to throw out the first pitch of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball game during NASCAR night on June 22, 2007. We're happy to announce that Marvin did the racing profession proud actually completing the throw to the catcher with better accuracy than some of the younger racers as evident in these photos.

Continuing on with the local NASCAR events, Marvin was the featured guest at the opening of the new NASCAR exhibit at the Orlando Science Center. Together with Robin Braig, President of DIS, Marvin held the audience's attention with tales of NASCAR racing history.

For those of you visiting Daytona during Speedweeks, Marvin's 1961 Daytona 500 winning, Smokey Yunick prepared Pontaic is on display in the Daytona 500 Experience. One of the highlights of the exhibit, the car will be on display through February 17th. Admission to the Daytona Experience is required to view the car however the information contained within the new exhibit is well worth the time and money.
