Museum Honors 50 years of the Daytona 500

From its earliest beginnings in 1959 the Daytona 500 has been the premier race of the NASCAR season. 2008 marks the 50th running of the Daytona 500. The Halifax Historical Museum honors this heritage with a special exhibit featuring the history of the Great American Race. Marvin Panch's Daytona 500 trophy will be on display as well as other memorabilia on loan from the Panch Collection.

The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Regular admission is $4.00 for adults. Call for more information 386-255-6976. Click here to visit Halifax Historical Society website.
